About this website

Advances in digital technologies (e.g. Web 2.0, Internet of things, Cloud computing, Augmented Reality), wearables (e.g. watches, glasses), and mobile devices (e.g. smartphones, tablets), as well as telecommunications (e.g. mobile / wireless communication), have resulted in significant changes in education. As a result of this advancement, a new type of learning called “e-learning 2.0,” “ubiquitous,” “mobile,” and “here and now” learning has emerged. This types of learning, compared to traditional, involves students more actively in the development of collaborative and interdisciplinary activities that are directly related to constructive, situated and collaborative learning. In addition, the above digital technologies enable the development and use of students’ experiences in both formal and informal learning environments.
